Clever tips for a happy hound

Want to make life with your greyhound even smoother? Here are some clever tips to keep your hound happy!
The Double Bed Trick
Greyhounds LOVE to stretch out! If your hound is ignoring their bed, try placing two side by side for ultimate lounging luxury.
Sunbathing Safely
Greyhounds adore sunbaking, but their thin coats mean they can get sunburnt! A shady retreat and pet-safe sunscreen on exposed areas (like pink noses!) keep them comfy.
Toothbrushing Cheat Code
Not all greyhounds love a toothbrush! Try gauze wrapped around your finger with dog-safe toothpaste—it’s a gentle and effective alternative.
“Statue Mode” on Walks?
Some greyhounds freeze on walks—it’s their way of processing new sights! Instead of pulling, try turning in a small circle or using a happy voice to encourage movement.
“Slow Down, Buddy!”
If your greyhound eats too fast, pop a tennis ball in their bowl. It slows them down and makes mealtime more engaging!
Meet our dogs ready for adoption
All greyhounds adopted from GAP are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health checked.

Jess

She gives off “Elle Wood” – Legally Blonde vibes and she is totally okay with it! This fun, flirty, sweet girl is beauty and brains rolled into one and we know she is going to make a great family addition. We think she may suit children 10 and over and may also suit living with her own Bruiser– just as long as they are a little robust and happy to play. Her race name suggests ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ but Jess would probably tell you otherwise!

Bobby

Bobby is a lovely young man, just look at his beautiful light-coloured eyes, they seem to stare into your soul. Bobby is a social, friendly and affectionate boy who is keen to move into his furever home. He may suit living with or without a canine pal of similar size and children aged 10years and older.
